Apple Music desktop Search is broken

Ever since I've been running Monterey –– current version v.12.4 (21F79) –– search has been entirely messed up.

• I regularly can't find things in my library because search terms pull up absolutely nothing; this goes for song name, artist name, and album name
• It will regularly send me to the music store even though I have Library selected
• Sometimes I can't access the music store because I can't leave the library
• The option to toggle between my library and the music store often disappears

I'm forced to quit and relaunch Apple Music in order to get things to normal. That no longer consistently works. All the trouble shooting I've come across is for iOS.

I never had problems with iTunes, but it's non-stop frustration with Apple Music. How do I fix this?
