imac wont boot up

My iMac all of a sudden wont boot up. The apple logo comes on the progress bar gets half way then it turns off. I tried even in safe mode by holding shift key and nothing

iMac won’t start up Hi, I wiped my mac as I planned to move it on to a new home, but now it won’t start up! As it goes into into starting the apple logo appears and the progress bar. Then it gets stuck with the apple logo and a small part of the progress bar. I have tried starting holding cmd+r but same thing happens, as it does with cmd+alt+r. the MAC was running El Capitan before I wiped it, can anyone help please or is it off to the graveyard !!!
