Greetings anh05g,

If you are having difficulty streaming content using the Apple TV app, begin by following the guidance found here:

If you can't watch or stream movies and TV shows in the Apple TV app - Apple Support

"If the movie or TV show won't start playing

After each step, try to stream or download the movie or TV show again.

  1. Check the System Status page for service interruptions or check a third-party provider's website for any interruptions. If there are service interruptions, try to stream or watch the video later.
  2. If you're having trouble signing in with your Apple ID, you can reset your Apple ID password or learn how to get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication.
  3. If your cellular connection is poor, connect to Wi-Fi instead.*
  4. Try watching on a different device using the same Wi-Fi or cellular connection. If it doesn't work, contact your internet service provider to see if there's an issue with your network.
  5. If other people are using Apple TV+ or Apple TV channels, make sure it doesn't exceed the limits for streaming on multiple devices."

Take care.

anh05g,

Does that still persist after resetting the Apple TV+ app using the steps below?

1. Open the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ app.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Choose the Reset option.

You can also find those steps in this resource: Get the Apple TV app or Apple TV+ app on your smart TV, streaming device, or game console - Apple Support

Also, do you use Apple TV+ with any other devices? If so, are they exhibiting the same behavior?

Hopefully those details will help to isolate this further so we can provide the best guidance possible.

anh05g,

Thank you for getting back to us. One more thing to check on your Roku device. What is the firmware version on your Roku device? If it is not at least version 9.1.0, update the firmware on your Roku.

If your Roku is at version 9.1.0 firmware and it is still not working, then we would recommend you contact Apple Support directly for more specific assistance.

Best regards.

I have the same or similar issue. I can open the app and see the menus within the app, but when I select a video to watch, I get a green screen. My TV is a new TCL with built in ROKU. The app worked fine up until 2-3 days ago. I can view fine on other devices, and all other apps I use on that TV work fine.
