Side car option not available on 2022 M2 MacBook Air?

Universal control also isn't working for me to use my 3rd Generation iPad Pro as a second monitor for my MacBook Air... the option doesn't seem available but from researching it should be compatible. ( Also used the tech chat and after an hour of being instructed to enable and disable options then restarting, nothing resolved. )

Any help is really appreciated!
