Cannot remove certain Apple Watch Walkie-Talkie contacts

In Apple Watch Walkie-Talkie app I have three contacts, my wife, myself (which I never invited) and a random phone number that is not a valid phone number (creepy) of the form xxx-xxx-xxx. I have tried every option to delete myself and the random contact number (no such contact in my address book) and they will delete for a minute but then reappear like frustrating magic. If I remove all contacts and the add my wife again, the other two random contacts reappear.

I see others have had this exact problem. I have fully reset the Watch and this problem has transcended physical watches.

How do I remove contacts or invited contacts once and for all?
