Why do I have a (2) next to my device name

If you're seeing a (2) beside your device name, this is likely due to a previous device having the same name. Change the name of your iPhone

You can change the name of your iPhone, which is used by iCloud, AirDrop, your Personal Hotspot, and your computer.

1. Go to Settings  > General > About > Name.

2. Tap , enter a new name, then tap Done.
