I have restored iTunes purchases to Apple Music on Mac Air 2022. How do I find, restore, and get my uploads to iTunes onto Apple Music?

Hi,

If you have restored your iTunes purchases, they should appear in your music library and will be available to redownload. Redownload music – Apple Support (UK)

Yes, I have restored purchases. What I am missing is my ripped from CD music I uploaded to iTunes. I may have found the answer. To get them back I have to subscribe to Apple Music in order to incorporate them into the Apple Music app. I have them on file but Apple Music will not accept them without a subscription unless I am missing something here.

I also have them on my old iPad and my Dell PC. On those two devices, I also have an iTunes program, not Apple Music so they appear there but not on my new Mac Air. I have no problem getting my hundreds of music files on those devices to sort and play on iTunes. I can go to iTunes on my new Mac Air but that is just a store site now, not an all purpose storage/player application.

I do not want a subscription to Apple Music so I may be stuck with not being able to import my music files to Apple Music, I understand is the replacement for the iTunes app. I once had all the music files organized by iTunes. Now they are a scattered mess of unreadable titles after being transferred from PC to new Mac Air. Would take massive hours, but I could try to organize them manually. Nah.
