Can my husband view my text messages and photos on iCloud ? He bought me this phone .

Look on Settings, and Your name is at the top. Tap on it. Is the iCloud email address yours or his?
If it is yours then if he knows your password you should change your iCloud (Apple ID) password to be sure.
If it is his email, and you don't know the password, then the phone is his and the data is his.
