A friend sent a video, the message “sent via iCloud” appears under it. I can view it by tapping it, but if I try to save it (tap the box with arrow icon, then choose “save video” from the choices that appear) the menu disappears but nothing gets added to my photo library. I can save photos and other videos from texts. Is this some kind of iCloud permission or sharing restriction? Appreciate any help.

Note : for iCloud sharing the device of your friend it could be Mac / iPhone / iPad and your Mac / iPhone/ iPad whatever is used should be signed in with same Apple ID and password on the same network .
Thanks for the reply, I will go through the articles. I am a PC user not Mac, but my issue is from vid captured on iPhone and texted to my iPhone, issue saving to my photos (just added comment for clarity). Thanks again
