Internal Storage is not showing in recovery mode. Help!

I got an update of macOS Monterey from Big Sur 11.6.8 in my MacBook pro mid-2015. I clicked on upgrade, and it downloaded but the update won't start even if click on the 'Install macOS Monterey' from Finder>Applications.

So I thought it might work if I erase and reinstall macOS from the recovery mode. But Internal Storage is not showing in the Disk Utility and I don't get any storage option in the 'install a new copy of macOS' option either. While I can see the Storage in disk utility if I normally start the system.

I tried resetting NVRAM, but It didn't work.

So I tried to install the update from safe mode, and here the install started but then it restarts and shows "a required firmware update could not be installed. compatible storage is required in order to update" error.

here are the pictures of Disk Utility in both normal and recovery mode.

I don't understand what to do. Help me!!

Thank you.

If you installed a third party SSD this is known to cause issue upgrading to Monterey—

Failed to Install Monterey

This is a known issue— non OEM Apple NVMe / PCIe SSD

The work around is to reinstall the OEM Apple Drive upgrade that drive which will flash the board, then reinstall your third party drive and now run the installer on your machine.

The EFI /Firmware part of the Monterey pkg is verifying for OEM Apple Drives and fails to upgrade. The EFI boot ROM is required to Flash the board and is required to successfully install Monterey.
