Mac Mail image hyperlinks

if "add link" is greyed out, it's because you haven't yet selected the picture to add the link to it.

here's what shows in my "compose" window when the picture is not selected.

when the picture is selected, it gets a blue coloured tint to it.

then you can use the edit menu to add the link.

Select the image and then choose Add Link… from the Edit menu.
