Student discounts for international students

Is Apple’s student discount available to those who are countries which has Apple stores?.

I asked Japan’s apple store and they said unless they’re students in Japan they can’t get the student discount.what about the other students in countries like Nepal,Sri Lanka or Pakistan ?

there’s no Apple stores there. Are there any ways to get the discount ?
