Lost hdmi connection popping up sporadically when I watching a show in any app

I have a Samsung hdtv and and apple 4K tv device and for the past couple months I receive a hdmi connection is lost message which would kick me out of the show I’m watching. I had the Apple TV device for over a year and never had this issue. Now this issue is popping up all the time. I changed my hdmi input, reset the de ice and the issue still occurs. Help please

I’ll try that but it’s odd that after it says it’s disconnected the Apple TV starts up again and sends me to the main menu where I can pick the app again. If it was the cable I would assume it wouldn’t want to restart again

if it was me then I would try another cable

and maybe test the appletv with another tv maybe a friend and or relatives to verify if the hdmi connector in the appletv box could be periodic defect
