It’s stuck on the screen where it says name and enter password

Try to boot your MacBook in the Safe mode to see if the problem persists. See this link on how to do that

padlock screen so my MacBook Pro stopped working 3 years ago, yesterday I take it out, fire it up and its starts and goes to a padlock screen. at one point, it went to my user name and I entered my password and it booted up only half way on that little white line that goes under your name... and then shut off. Unable to login MacBook. Froze and kicked me out computer I was browsing on Amazon and HBOx when my computer screen froze. After a few moments it kicked me out of my computer. The login page displays but it does not show my admin profile. I try to put my name and password and it doesn’t accept them. It keeps locking me out. First 1 min and than 5 min and now 15 minutes.
