Software update

Why is this in my software update window? Updates for this Mac are managed by “swscan.apple.com”. Do you want to restore default update settings?

No worries!

I don’t think it’s anything to be alarmed of. Did you click the “Restore Defaults” option?

Likewise, when in that window, of you press Command R on the keyboard, does it go away?

If it doesn’t, and Restore Defaults doesn’t get rid of it, just restart and check again.

If it continues to appear, do you have any VPN installed? You’d see it on the left column of System Preferences > Network. I’d say if so, I’d remove it by highlighting it and clicking the “-“ below, then click “Apply” on the bottom right, and to be thorough, a fresh reboot.
