Does anybody know why my usb c headphone adapter isn’t working? Whenever I plug it in it just plays from the iPad speakers and not my headphones. I’m starting to get really irritated of it so please help me. Also it is a google adapter and not an apple one.

Start by testing the adapter in another device. If it does not work there, then the issue is most likely the adapter.
If it does work in another device, confirm with the manufacturer that it is compatible with your iPad.
If it is compatible, then work with the manufacturer to troubleshoot the problem.

About compatibility, I looked online and saw that is it is usb type c it will have no issues. It might be wrong but thank you so much for this and it is really helpful. I will contact the manufacturer today and check. Tank you for your help.
