How do we switch to Apple One?

We have a family music plan under my husband’s Apple ID, and a family iCloud storage under my Apple ID.

We want to change to a family Apple One plan.

It says there’s no need to cancel existing subscriptions but I assume it won’t tie up the plans on the two different IDs?

How do we transfer over without losing service? And preferably without double paying for any period.

Thanks!

It should go to both Apple IDs if you have Family Sharing set up and you chose the Family or Premier plan. After your free trial, services that you previously subscribed to are automatically included in Apple One.

Since your husband already has the plan; he should probably be the AppleOne subscriber.

He simply signs-up and everything happens automatically.

However, it’s not instant, he might see one final “legacy” payment - or refund credit - or both - as the billing cycles are reconciled … but do NOT cancel anything yourselves.

The billing pieces may “overlap” but you’ll not be paying for anything twice.
