Iwatch stuck on power saving mode

Iwatch stuck on powering saving mode with red lighting its been on charger over an hour but wont turn on try holding both buttons at same time still wont restart.

can you assist

To turn off power reserve mode,press and hold the side button for about 10 seconds, until you see the watch restart and the Apple logo appear.

Keep in mind that if your battery is almost completely empty, you might need to charge the watch before it will restart normally.

Charge it a while longer en see if the problem persists. When I was setting up my old series 1 watch for my dad it needed almost 2 hours before it was booting
