going back to my old phone

I have had the iphone 7 plus for years and really like it. I bought the iphone 13 mini to use when the old 3g and 4g stop and there where only be 5g. This is my question. Can I take the sim card out of the 13 mini and put it back in my 7 plus phone with no problems. I like using the home button and it would make life so much easier. then when it is only 5g then I can go back to the 13 mini
