That would mean that your current installed operating system is fully up to date and cannot be further updated. If you wish to upgrade your OS to a newer version (for example from Big Sur to Monterey) what you can upgrade to depends on what year and model Mac you have. Some older Macs are at the end of their upgrade cycle.
