Optimized charging via USB-C on MacOS?

Does optimized charging on MacOS work when you charge with the USB-C? My 2021 14" MBP will use optimized charging with MagSafe, but USB-C isn't.

Can 2023 MacBook Pro charge at 140W via USB-C? I just ordered a 2023 16" MacBook Pro. I know it comes with the 140W charger plus a USB-C to MagSafe 3 adapter. How to disable charging on a USB-C port on MacBook Pro (M2 Pro)? I need to occasionally charge my batteries for my video camera, and the charging requires a USB-C connection on both ends. I wanted to connect the batteries to my mac laptop to charge but instead of charging the batteries from my laptop I actually charged the laptop from the nearly-dead batteries. How can I disable (at least temporarily) the charging via the USB-C port? I have the MagSafe 2 anyway, so I don't really need it from USB-C.
