I have followed instructions I have found but when it gets to swiping left to remove person from group chat it won’t let me. Please help! I am using messenger with the green bubbles.

When you are on an iPhone only chat the message is being sent through Apple services but when you have mixed devices it is going through multiple carriers which prevents the removal of a person. this is probably a security thing. Either way if you do not want that person in a group chat you need to create a new chat.

You cannot remove someone from a group chat if the chat contains iPhones AND Android devices. You have to start a new chat without that person in it.
No, what we are telling you is that your SMS/MMS cellular carrier does not support adding or removing people from a group chat. It has nothing to do with Apple. Shame on jumping to conclusions without knowing all the facts.
So what your telling me is Apple cannot remove people from a group chat but android phones you can. Shame Shame on big boy Apple!!!
Yeah, you cannot remove the person from text message group if she/he is using non-apple device.

Much agree with you. Leave the group conversation, and create a new chat with the ones you would like to chat with. For text messages, blocking contact does even not work to stop seeing the messages from the person who uses an Android device.

I have no problem with it.
If the blocking method works, then it would be an alternative way to stop seeing or being seen by someone on group chat.
