Can I double tap (not click) to drag on MacBook Air?

I'm used to double tapping on my trackpad (on windows computers) to drag. For example, I double tap and keep my finger held down on the 2nd tap and highlight some text to copy. On Mac, it seems that I am forced to click rather than tap and keep my finger on the trackpad. This is so much less accurate than what I'm used to. Is there any way to enable this feature?

You have many options on a Mac. Two-finger tap then drag for example. Triple-click. Three finger drag. Tap to click. Combinations of the above.
