how do i remove the bar where all the apps can go on the homescreen its causing me trouble with this wallpaper as u see from the pic

Vertical bottom app bar My bottom app bar now has my apps in a vertical line in the middle of my screen with only two showing at once. Is this an option or did I just mess something up? And how do I get it back to being in the grey bar?
