Removing very large number of Finder notifications

Is there a way to clear multiple notifications from Finder? A buggy flashdrive caused hundreds (thousands? more?) of eject notifications [the drive has been removed]. Other apps usually have a "clear" button on them so I can clear the entire notification list for that app. But not Finder! The alerts cover the Notifications Center when I open it; I've deleted hundreds of these same warnings by clicking on the x but there's still more. I then looked in System Preferences and saw no options to turn off Finder's alerts. I have them hidden by putting my mbp into do not disturb mode, but that's not a solution, it just hides the problem.

Is there anything I can do in the CLI?

—You can try on the fly relaunch Finder, from the Finder icon on the far left of the Dock, hold the Control Option key(s) & click open >Relaunch

—you can try restarting the Mac...

—You can try from Terminal.app copy & paste:

killall NotificationCenter

and compare your results...
