Weather app not connected to the internet

when I open the default weather app on my iPhone it access' my location but fails to load any information, when I press the report an issue problem, it says I am not connected to the internet all the while Siri responds with an accurate weather forecast. Can I fix this somehow?

I realized I had set the wrong date and that is why it didn't work. As soon as I set the date to automatic it worked fine.
