Logic pro-x sound library download fail

Hi,

I have been using logic pro-x on an iMac 21.5inch late 2015 with no problems at all. I recently purchased a 27 inch late 2015 and added Logic Pro-x. Problem is, every time I try to download sounds, it fails halfway or goes all the way and says failed because of Internet connection. There is no problem with my internet connection, it is the same internet I used the 21.5 inch iMac with no issues. Could there be a problem with my 27th Inch iMac??

Hi faith_nomad, there's likely nothing wrong with your 27-inch iMac, these issues with Sound Library downloads have been reported numerous times previously. As I remember, some users have managed to solve this issue by updating to the most recent available version of Logic (i.e. 10.7.4, if I'm not mistaken).


Other than that, everything indicates that this must be an issue on Apple's side somehow. Potential workarounds that reportedly yielded positive results: 1) Using a VPN to channel traffic via a different location than you're currently at; 2) Try to download from a different location (for portable Macs); 3) Try to download SL elements one-by-one using SL Manager: Logic Pro (X) > Sound Library > Sound Library Manager (as opposed to downloading/installing in one go, when you first download all the available packages and then all the content is installed).
