Double side click for app purchases WITHOUT need to activate assistive touch

I have turned off assistive touch and turned on Apple side-click for app purchases BUT the app purchases will not use face recognition or offer side click option. It pops up a statement that you have to activate assistive touch in the settings.

Hello Swanpeak,

It sounds as though you're wanting to make purchases on your iPhone by double clicking the side button and using Face ID. If you haven't already, you'll want to follow the steps in the section titled " Set up Face ID" of the following article to set up that feature. If you've already set up Face ID, follow the steps listed below to use Face ID to complete iTunes Store and App Store purchases.

Use Face ID on your iPhone or iPad Pro

"To use Face ID to purchase content from the iTunes Store, App Store, and Book Store, go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode and make sure that iTunes & App Store is turned on. Then follow these steps:"

  1. "Open the iTunes Store, App Store, or Book Store, then tap something that you want to buy.
  2. When asked to pay, double-click the side button, then glance at your iPhone or iPad. If you're wearing a face mask that covers your mouth and nose but Face ID with a mask isn't set up, tap Pay with Passcode and enter your passcode instead.
  3. Wait for Done and a checkmark to display."

Have a great day!
