Disabling Preinstalled Fonts

There are a ton of fonts preinstalled on my iMac, some of which I will never use. Is there no way to disable these fonts? I just don't want all of them showing up in my font list in my applications. It takes forever for me to scroll through them... ie Noto.

All you can do is to open Apple's Font Book app and disable those you are allowed to disable. Many of the fonts installed by Apple may not be disabled, so you will have to live with them. Every little bit helps, though.
