Wi-Fi Calling notification pops up every day

I recently started getting a notification several times a day that says "Wi-Fi Calling: You can use your phone number to make and receive calls directly on this Mac using Wi-Fi." I haven't changed anything in my phone or computer setup that I think would obviously trigger this.

On my iPhone 13 Pro Max, in Phone settings, "Add Wi-Fi calling for other devices" is and has been off. In macOS Monterey FaceTime preferences, "Calls from iPhone" is unchecked and "Upgrade to Wi-Fi Calling" button is greyed out.

I've had the same problem here for months. It happens on all my devices (multiple Macs and an iPad) multiple times per day. Who's your cellular carrier? Mine's T-Mobile. I'm thinking that may be part of it.

If all else fails give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

Hi adampirg,

You should be able to manage your notifications and disable this, and any other notifications that you do not want to see.

Use notifications on your Mac - Apple Support has a lot more details about notifications.

Customize alerts or turn them off
1. Choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Notifications.
2. Select an app in the left column.
3. To change the notification style, select Banners or Alerts. Or select None.
Notifications preferences
You can also control other features here, such as whether notifications appear on your lock screen or include a preview. A preview contains a portion of the email, chat, or other content associated with the notification. You can choose to show previews never, always, or only when you unlock your Mac.

To allow or disallow notifications for specific websites, or to prevent websites from asking for permission to send notifications, learn how to customize website notifications in Safari.

This should help with you with personalizing your notifications so you see only the ones you want to see.

Have a great day!
