how does a charge that wasnt processed get reversed?

How does a pending charge that wasn’t able to be processed get reversed since I just cancelled the subscription I forgot about during the free trial?

Disputing a subscription charge I was on a 14 day trial and cancelled on the last day but was charged anyway. I went to iTunes subscriptions and cancelled but all that shows is my subscription is now extended to 2024 but no refund is mentioned. I'm not sure where to write an explanation as everything online shows prepared issues, and none of the issues coincide with my problem. I can only think I need to go thru my card company for a refund, but that doesn't help in regards to getting the subscription cancelled. Any thoughts on getting help?

Will I still be charged if I canceled a accidental subscription while the payment is pending? I had purchased a 7 week free trial for Calm but once it was over I had forgotten about it. Now the the charge is pending and u requested a refund but I wonder if I will still be charged.

I believe I canceled within the time trial but it still charged me Why did I get charged?

Subscriptions
1. You may view a subscription to an app --> See or cancel your subscriptions - Apple Support
2. You can also request a refund for a recent renewal of an in-app subscription purchase
