What will Apple do so that my KOBO e-reader will be recognized by Mac OS Monteray? I can't use my KOBO e-reader anymore ...

I'm very careful to use the proper original cables to connect to my computer. So, that's out of question .... My computer is a MacOS Monteray version 12.4. A few weeks ago I happened to succeed by accident to get a book .epub on my reader ...
Without seeing the e-reader on my desktop. No idea how that could happen ... But after bying a new book, also .epub last week: there is still no way of getting the data on my reader ... How is that possible? Same original cable, same computer ...
I'm now forced to reed the book by "Books" on my iPad, which is less pleasant.
