Series 2 AppleWatch Updates ended?

Are there not more updates after watchOS 6 for the Apple Watch 2 series? My watch says put to date but It looks like watchOS 7 and watchOS 8 are out there. The peloton application no longer available on my watch.

watchOS 6 is the latest version for Apple Watch 2. It is not compatible with watchOS 7 or higher.
