Error when backing up

For an iPhone 6, trying to update and only getting error messages and have tried suggestions found online but phone still isn’t working. Help.

What is unknown error 1667? I'm trying to back up an iPhone XR that has never been backed up. It has 58.9 GB of 64GB used. I assume it wants me to update to the newest version of software before I backup because the button to backup is not clickable. When I try to update, I get an unknown error (1667). What should I do?

Could not back up iphone because an error occurred while reading from or writing to the iphone Can someone please help? I keep receiving this message (Could not backup iphone because an error occurred while reading from or writing to the iphone) when trying to back up on iTunes. For context I'm trying to back up an iphone 6s to transfer to a new iphone. iCloud backup also does not work and data transfer also fails. There is definitely more than enough space (3x what I'm trying to backup). I have tried a different laptop, different cables, restarting all devices, updating to latest iOS possibly every troubleshooting out there.
