How to make Safari automatically open in full screen

You just need to uncheck the box circled in red in the picture below. This setting follows the same steps to navigate to. That should solve your issues-

Ah, that explains it. The screen you posted is of Safari > Preferences > General. You need to go to the app System Preferences > General (Picture instructions below)-

Open this app from the Dock-

Select the circled icon-

Deselect the circled setting-

I understand your confusion- but you are not on the right screen. You have Safari Preferences open, when you should have System Preferences open. Please, follow the instructions below exactly. Your screen should be virtually identical in each of the steps.

First, close the window noted in the picture. This is not the correct preferences screen-

Then, in the bottom Dock of your Mac, click the System Preferences icon at the bottom of your screen. It's circled below-

Then, in the window that opens, click the General icon, circled below-

After that, go down to the setting 'Close windows when quitting an app', circled below, and uncheck the box next to it-
