am i able to use the $150 gift card i get from purchasing a macbook on the macbooks price. so like the $150 comes off of the total

$150 Apple Card I recently bought a MacBook Pro 13'' and got a $150 Apple Gift Card with the student discount bundle. I'm confused on how it's a discount, because either way I have to pay $12.50 every month for the gift card plus the monthly MacBook price. Can someone explain that to me? Also, was there a way for me to get the student discount without getting the gift card? I just don't see the purpose of paying for a gift card + MacBook when I could have just paid in full the first time without the discount.

Can I use a gift card with a student discount? As the title states. I am wanting to use an Apple Gift card I have in conjunction with the Student Discount program, is this possible? Thanks again, Matt

No.

The gift card you receive is for a future purchase, not current.
