Mac Studio upside down

Can I have my mac studio upside down?

I think it has better ventilation, less dust going inside, and is easy to clean.

I don't see any reason why the mac studio may have any problem

can you please tell me if I am right and if I am not why

It takes in air on the bottom, in the plinth, and blows out at the back. Question: is an extra filter needed to keep out dust? Dust accumulated at the bottom of Mac Mini 2023 My office is dusty and so the Mac Mini has accumulated a lot of hair and dust at the bottom. How can I clean it to prevent it from heating? I don't feel like opening it but will do if advised. Thanks!

Mac Mini running hot - SIMPLE FIX I've been having this problem on a 2018 Mac Mini for awhile and discovered a fairly easy fix. After doing this it's been running normal and the case feels cool, to barely warm, to the touch! Like it should. So the issue is the fan inside can collect dust and you can carefully vacuum it out. I didn't need a new fan, nor did I need installing cooling fan control apps. It should work as it's designed. Mine was pretty gunked up and once vacuumed out, viola. There are some YouTube tutorials on how to properly open up the Mac and get to the fan. I went the extra step and removed the fan and also vacuumed the exhaust vent right under it, and the underside of the fan. The exhaust port probably isn't necessary for most people to clean, and you'll need to remove 3 screws of the fan to get there. If you're industrious, give it a whirl otherwise just vacuum the top exposed part of the fan at the minimum. One other thing, I highly recommend using a magnetic T6 security bit when removing these screws with your Mac unplugged. The magnetic bit will keep you from dropping screws into the computer and not being able to reach them. Good luck, my Mac is literally night and day better.

The grill on the bottom is the air intake and it will most likely suck in more dust turned upside down.

A better option if you are concerned about dust, is to put it in a side or under desk mount.

The upside-down of mac studio won't cause any hardware issues, but you need to take care of the grip of the device as, sometimes it may fall to ground mistaken, this may cause issues.
