Find my not working with Apple Watch

My Apple Watch is connected with my iPhone but “find my” is not established between them. What can I do? (iPhone 12pro and new watch w/cellular) and note I have they both they are not lost at this point, I just want to get it to work in case I loss one.

Unpair and repair,when you repair the watch is automatically registered in the findmy app.
