Search iPhone Calendar for past events

The iPhone Calendar used to show past events when you searched. Based on other posts, it looks like that was reduced to 1 year at some point. Now it seems like it's completely gone for past events as I've tested it looking for events even last week. It's really annoying not being able to check the last time I went to the dentist, had the oil changed, etc. without going to other systems. Just more in the trend of Apple giving less and charging more $$$.

Hi Chris Shannon,

It appears you’re looking for help because you cannot search past events in the Calendar app. Is that correct? If so, we can help you figure out why that’s happening. Try our recommended steps when you have a free moment by clicking the links below.

Search for events in Calendar on iPhone - Apple Support

If you don’t see your events in Calendar on Mac - Apple Support

The steps in the article above will show you how to search for events and what to check if you don’t see a calendar event or are having trouble finding it.

We recommend the steps above because they move our troubleshooting efforts towards a resolution by helping resolve the issue you initially reached out to the community about, which is not being able to locate past events in your calendar when you perform a search.

If the original problem persists after trying the previous steps, please provide us with specifics on what you see for more help, and we will continue from there.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.

Cheers!
