Is there a way I could recover old music I had on my Apple Music account?

That may depend on what happened to it.

If you had an Apple Music subscription and it ended for any reason, and you have no re-subscribed, then no, you would need to manually recreate your playlists and download any music you had before it ended.

If your Apple Music subscription has not ended, then what exactly happened?
