how can I tell if I’m part of a group chat/text? For example, in my messsges at the top it says: 4 people with 4 picture icons of the people but not mine. Am I included in this chat if it says 4 people but my pic is not showing?
i see further down “Show in Shared with You” and it’s green. Does that mean I’m included in this chat?

Yes. if you weren't you wouldn't be receiving the group message.
