iphone freezes

Not sure what the problem is with my iphone 12, but recently my phone started to freeze when I use certain apps (discord or pandora), it'll freeze for what feels like an eternity which I believe lasts 5-10 mins, then my phone shuts off and restarts on it's own. Does anyone seem to know what the problem is and how to fix this? It's ******* me off.....
