Purchased songs play back at 128 kbps

For some reason, some of my Purchased music (appears to be primarily iTunes music I bought prior to 2006) is streaming at 128 kbps instead of Lossless Audio rates. My desktop is set up to stream Apple Music to save space on the drive. I keep physical copies of my Purchased files on my Laptop and the same files I am having issue with are 256 kbps (these are not Protected AAC files). I have Streaming audio quality set to Lossless (ALAC up to 24-bit/48 kHz) on the Playback settings.

Any ideas of why my streaming music is playing back at a lower rate?

I am streaming on my desktop (no physical copies in the Music/Music/Media/Music folder) and my local copies stored on my laptop are 256 mbps; not 128 mbps. However, I will try deleting the local copy and re-downloading to see if that helps. Thanks.

It is playing the local copy. If you want, you can delete the local copy (or stuff it in a safe place), and download the lossless version from the Apple Music catalog.
