How do I get rid of this message.

I am not having any other problems. I have a MacAir 2018 that I purchased in May of 2019. There have been no settings changes. I started receiving this message about a week ago.
You don't get rid of an alert, you fix what's causing it.
Are you having any other operational problems? How old is your Mac? Are you using an external monitor? What resolution are you set to?
You can help us help you by describing your setup and any other problems you might be having.
I always wait for the black screen before closing the lid, but I tried waiting longer but that did not help. Thank you for the suggestion though,
I keep getting the message "You shut down your computer because of a problem" every time I start my MacAir. This is not true, I always shut down using the Shut Down option under the Apple icon in the top left corner.
