What is iTunes media services and why is it using cellular data?

First off someone please tell me what iTunes media services is. second, how can this be using cellular data when everything that could possibly be be related to it is shut off literally anything and everything that could possibly be related to iTunes media service on my phone is turned off for cellular data usage and then fact I have only been using my phone via Wi-Fi connection and have tested phone for a specific time. Where there should’ve been no cellular use at all and yet iTunes media services is still using data. If someone could explain to me these issues I would appreciate it

Someone made a developer account in my name and it gave me internet access to things I didn’t have before.. like our phones data analytics.. I’ve always asked about them and gotten the response that they can only be read by computers and not to even waste my time. Well now I’ve learned what all kinds of stuff in my data logs mean. It’s mind blowing. And we’re not allowed to discuss anything related to app development. You’re being lied to when they tell you it’s normal. Also it’s so easy for someone to gain full control over your phone without you knowing it’s disgusting. If I have time I’m gonna post some pics of things I found on a developer website. Literally anyone with a developer account is allowed to trick you into giving them permission to do whatever they want to your phone. The rule for them is that they have to get your permission. But the rules on permission are this: they can send a notification to your phone that doesn’t actually show up or make a noise so you don’t even know it’s there. Then if you don’t give them permission but you don’t deny permission either then it’s allowed to be accepted as you giving them permission

No. No I don’t know anyone with an app developers account. My first thought was that someone or some thing has gained access to my phone but everything I’ve heard from Apple is that that’s not possible unless you open the link from a phishing email or something like that and I haven’t done that. So I still have not figured out why this data usage is occurring and it’s surprising that no one seems to have any answers.

I just started having the same problem. I have been resetting my statistics everyday and monitoring it to try to figure out exactly what’s doing it. I have iTunes and Apple Music both uninstalled. I don’t use anything iCloud. I found an app in my data usage called astronomy? Never heard of it and can’t find it installed anywhere on my phone. It doesn’t show up in spotlight or App Store or google searches or hidden purchases and it hasn’t used any data since I started paying attention. It’s just there. I did find it’s logo though. On a similar app. I’m pretty sure my boyfriend is using an app developer account to gain access to my phone without even having to ask permission. You wouldn’t know anyone with an app developer’s account would you? Because that’s my only theory on my spiked data usage. Oh also I have never used Siri and I have to keep going into my settings and changing my preferences back for certain things. My social apps keep setting my messages to show a preview when my phone is locked. And I have it set to never show a preview
