Hotspot issues

Hi guys,

Whenever I try to connect my laptop to my IPhones hotspot the laptop keeps disconnecting from it and it is not only my laptop but as well my boyfriend and my sistes ones. We have updated the latest wireless drivers for our laptops but the issue still persists. I have exhaused all troubleshooting steps regarding my laptop, hence I believe that it might be an issue from the Hotspot on my laptop. If anyone elsze is facing sich issues and have managed to resolve them, please let me know, because it is really frustrating.

Thanks in advance. :)

Hey there,

See ☞ If Personal Hotspot is not working on your iPhone or iPad (Wi-Fi + Cellular) - Apple Support

Apple has stated that it’s normal for an iPhone’s hotspot to disconnect after a set period of time of inactivity. That amount of time is 90 seconds, which means if you aren’t doing anything with the connected device, your iPhone will automatically disconnect its hotspot. This is done to conserve battery life on your IPhone.

Also check out:

  1. Network coverage and stability
  2. Data Balance
  3. On you windows (See if WiFi Auto Joins is enabled)
  4. Also check if you have any stronger WiFi signal around your computer.
