Bluetooth not pairing

I have a 2017 MacBook running Monterey 12.4 and a new iPhone 13. Pairing is unsuccessful as MacBook is not supported. What is the fix?

Hello tarynfromhimrod,

You will not utilize Bluetooth to connect your iPhone to your MacBook. The method you use to have your iPhone communicate with your MacBook will vary based on your desired outcome. The resources we've shared below detail your options for syncing or connecting your iPhone with your MacBook.

Let us know if this helps.

Hello tarynfromhimrod,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

You will want to use these steps to use Wallet and Apple Pay on your Mac: Use Wallet & Apple Pay on Mac - Apple Support

"Set up Apple Pay on your Mac

  1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Wallet & Apple Pay.
  2. Click Add Card.
  3. If you’re not signed in with your Apple ID, you’re asked to sign in. After you’re signed in, return to Wallet & Apple Pay.
  4. Enter your payment information.
    • Use a card on file: If you have a credit or debit card on file with Apple for making purchases from the iTunes Store or App Store, enter the security code when asked.
    • Add a new card: Position your card in front of your computer’s camera so that it appears within the frame shown on the screen, then follow the onscreen instructions. Or click Enter Card Details Manually, then provide the requested information. Repeat for each card you want to use with Apple Pay.

Important: If you sign out of your Apple ID account, you have to set up Apple Pay again—including adding any cards you’ve added in Apple Pay on your Mac."

If you want to use your iPhone, try these steps: Make purchases using Apple Pay - Apple Support

Please let us know if you have further questions.
