last month my phone suddenly started not receiving texts from some of my friends that have android devices. These are people I used to text with regularly, but now I can not receive their texts (they do receive mine). I have made sure all settings are correct and contacted my carrier and they have directed me to Apple. I would really like this issue fixed, does anyone have any further suggestions?
Go to Settings/Messages. Is MMS turned on? Do you see a switch for MMS? No switch means it’s a carrier problem. If the switch is on, note that MMS requires that cellular data be turned on. it can’t use Wi-Fi. And you also need a cellular voice network connection.

Thank you for responding; the switch is on and I have full network service, that I know of. Maybe I will turn off the Wi-Fi and see if that makes a difference. If I can’t get it figured out, I’m getting a new phone.
