How long does the recent tag appear next to a blocked number even though there is no missed voicemail or recent call from them how are they contacting me? And is it possible to know how long ago they attempted contact in some way

Just to clarify, does "Recent" appear when reviewing your blocked contacts under Settings > Phone > Blocked Contacts, or is a blocked number appearing in the call history on your iPhone?
When you block a phone number or contact, they can still leave a voicemail, but you won't get a notification. Messages that are sent or received won't be delivered. Also, the contact won't get a notification that the call or message was blocked. When you block an email address from Mail, it goes to the trash folder. Email blocking works across all your Apple devices.
You can also enable settings to block spam phone calls.

You wouldn't be expected to see the missed call in your recent call list; however, they may be able to leave a voicemail if they choose to. If you're referring to checking the blocked contact list and seeing a notification, is this signaling that a contact was attempted to notify you? To the recent viewing of my blocked contact list by the phone number but I don’t have a voicemail message from them or a phone call miss from them I was reading all the other poems and it saying hello voicemail if they had called or recent calls but I don’t have any of that so I’m wondering how long does it say recent on that phone number after they attempted to contact you
