Deleted emails keep returning

I regularly have deleted emails return to my inbox even though I have deleted them and deleted them all in the bin. Can someone help?

Hello Davidgb59,

Ensuring your deleted emails remain deleted is important and you've come to a great place for help! To confirm, do the deleted emails reappear when signing in to your email account via the providers website? If not, and they only reappear on the iPhone, you'll want to restart your device and confirm you're running the latest iOS. The steps for restarting and updating can be found listed below, and in the following articles.

  1. "Press and hold the side button until the power-off slider appears.
  2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
  3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo."

Restart your iPhone

  1. "Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
  2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
  3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
  4. If you see two software update options available, choose the one that you want to install.
  5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do."

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue appears via the email providers website, you may need to reach out to the email provider for additional support.

Have a great day!
